Project description

We love art, so our project is a Treasure hunt for the arts and crafts people do in our regions. They may be traditional or modern arts and crafts. We research them and we can do workshops to learn the crafts we research. We disseminate our findings and our activities online. We invite teachers and students from other countries to join us and share their cultures.

Aims:
Our students will develop their online & offline research skills as well as their skills in making products in the craft they choose to research.
They will improve their communication in English and ICT skills.
They will improve their self-esteem by sharing their experiences with their peers, teachers & family.
They will learn about arts & crafts in their own countries/regions &in other countries & exchange best practices with their peers.
The teachers involved will develop their communication in English and ICT skills and exchange best practices in teaching.

Work Process:
Communication among teachers will be achieved in English, through Twin space, blog & Facebook group.
Each teacher & her/his student team choose an art or craft they research online or offline, by meeting with local crafts people.
They can even organize workshops to learn that art/craft.
They write articles & take photos, which they upload on Twin space and project blog.
They disseminate the activities in their communities.
They can organize exhibitions with their products, which they can eventually sell & use the money to buy materials or donate it to NGOs (Autistic, etc.)
Video conferences can be organized so students can meet online and exchange greetings & experiences, using English.

Expected results:
The Romanian team will make a blog for the dissemination of the project activities and results, so teachers, students & their families can monitor & disseminate their activities.
All partners will contribute with articles & photos/videos on the project blog and Twin space & disseminate the activities in their local communities.
Students will make arts & crafts objects which they can sell & use the money for materials or donate it to charities.
Examples of best practices will be exchanged among teams from partner schools.
Teachers & students from other countries (non-EU countries) will be invited to join the project via the blog.
Information gathered during research will be shared with teachers of other subjects,so they can use it with their students.
All participants will improve their ICT & English skills.

The main language of communication is English, but partners are welcome to translate the articles in their own mother tongue.
